Therapeutic Skin Care
Did you know the skin is the largest organ of the human body? Skin encompasses a surface area between 16-21 square feet, containing 650 sweat glands, 20 blood vessels, 60,000 melanocytes, and more than a thousand nerve endings! Playing such a vital role in protection, the skin takes a beating to environmental irritants, weather extremes and injury as well battling against the chronological aging process. What's a face to do?

Microdermabrasion is a safe alternative to invasive cosmetic procedures which can be performed in less than 1/2 hour. This treatment utilizes aluminum oxide crystals together with vacuum power to exfoliate the superficial epidermis unearthing vibrant, glowing skin. Other skin concerns such as acne and post-acne scarring, hyper pigmentation and fine lines and wrinkles can be corrected with this modality.
- Glycolic Peels/Salicylic Peels/Jessner's Peel
Glycolic peels are one type of peel from alpha hydroxyl acids made from sugar cane while salicylic peels are derived from beta hydroxyl acids. These types of peels are designed to slough off dead skin cells, prevent pores from clogging and stimulate new cell growth. Jessner's peel contains salicylic acid, resorcinol and lactic acid (derived from milk acid and often used on sensitive prone skin). With this peel, a visible "peeling" of the skin is evident for 5 - 7 days resulting in a more uniform skin tone and minimizing skin discolorations.
- Quadra Q4 Intense Pulsed Light Hair Removal
A new generation of FDA approved long-term hair removal delivers light and heat down the hair shaft producing photo-thermal destruction of the follicle. This treatment is also very effective for Pseudofolliculitis (in-grown hair in the beard area of some men).
- Intense Pulse Light Acne Treatment
Acne lesions are caused by hormonal imbalance, excess sebum production, follicular hyperkeratinization and the formation of propionibacterium (P-acne) in the follicular canal. Specific light spectrums can now be used to destroy the bacteria in the sebaceous glands. In many cases the destruction of the P-acnes produces clearance of acne lesions.
- Pumpkin Enzyme Peel
This fermented unfiltered whole pumpkin peel contains one hundred and four active elements. Growth hormones, amino acids, antioxidants, moisturizers and phytosterols are among the ingredients that make this peel a one of a kind skin treatment for revitalization.
- Intense Pulsed Light Treatment for Dyspigmentation, facial vessels, acne and other skin concerns
Dark spots caused by the sun and aging can now be removed in the office using pulsed light technology. Hyperpigmentation caused by pregnancy or sun exposure can also be lightened.
Small red facial vessels can be improved with treatment. If you have brown discolorations or broken blood vessels that bother you, this is the treatment of choice.
Intense pulsed light treatments have been proven to reduce acne scarring and improve other skin imperfections.
